Dr. James (Trey) Duckett specializes in sports medicine, arthroscopy, and reconstruction, including open and arthroscopic treatment of shoulder, knee, hip, and elbow disorders. In addition to sub specialized training in sports medicine, Dr. Duckett received focused training in arthroscopic and mini-open surgery for non-arthritic hip disorders.
Dr. Duckett graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina Honors College, earning a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. He received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Florida. He then completed a one year sports medicine fellowship at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama under the direction of Dr. James Andrews.
Dr. Duckett is a native of Charleston, South Carolina. His wife, Luckie, is an Atlanta native and they have two sons and one daughter.
